Our program adopts COIL/VE* method that has been proved for more than 10 years among global higher education institutions. To develop global citizens, we focus on the SDGs theme for As our program is designed for students to be able to communicate and collaborate both asynchronously and synchronously in small country-mixed groups, students will never be hidden in the other members.

1. Online Intercultural Exchange - TOMODACHI Program
Period: 4 days
Outline:
"TOMODACHI" is a Japanese word, meaning "friends". This word has been used many times for cross-border friendship such as the Operation Tomodachi with the US Armed Forces where it helped Japanese devastated people after the 2011 Tohoku earthquake and tsunami.
In this program, you can expect students to get to know each other through online cultural exchange with online bulletin board and video chat.
2. Online SDGs Intercultural Collaborative Learning - MOTTAINAI Program
Period: 6 weeks
Outline:
"MOTTAINAI" is a popular Japanese word, meaning "what a waste!" with a sense of regret of over waste. This word has been known among ecologists in the world since Kenyan environmentalist Wangari Maathai, a Nobel Peace Prize winner, introduced this word “Mottainai” as a slogan for environmental protection.
In this program, students will have an opportunity to think about the conservation of the natural resources from familiar things.

3. Online SDGs Intercultural Collaborative Learning - SDGs Selection
Period: 6 weeks
Outline:
In this program, we expect small country-mixed group to select comparison topics from 17 SDGs. Based on the selected topics, each group proceed with research and discussion, and try to compile their ideas into a presentation.
